For Skis & Snowboards

MROZY BaseGuard

Reusable base protector with ski-skin adhesive technology

Designed for touring and freeride.
Protects your board during hikes and in low-snow sections, reducing damage from rocks and hard terrain.
You focus on the line — not on your equipment.

🛡️ Abrasion-resistant 🚀 Excellent glide 🪶 Ultra lightweight

When the Descent Gets Gnarly, Your Base Stays Safe

MROZY BaseGuard is a smart, reusable adhesive protection applied to your ski or board base exactly when the snow ends and the rough stuff begins. You apply and trim it just like standard climbing skins.

Why it’s a game-changer

Protection A shield against rocks, gravel, and deep core shots.
Material Flexible enough to follow ski flex, stiff enough to resist abrasion.
Speed Fast field application so you don't lose your momentum.

Trimming & Fitting

You have two options: cover the metal edge or leave it exposed.
1. A covered edge also protects edge itself, but while riding, it may cause slipping on ice, or if the guard at the edge hits a rock at speed, it could cause localized damage or even detachment (see photos below).
2. An exposed edge is vulnerable to damage, and there is a risk of it being torn off. It is also more difficult to trim the guard to the shape of a ski or snowboard.
Both methods can be used depending on personal preference.

The “Middle Ground” approach?
Keep the edge fully covered, cut the material flush with the edge, then carefully scrape the protective layer on both sides at a 45° angle using a knife for proper grip.

WARNING: This protection minimizes damage but does not make your gear 100% rock-proof. Always ride with caution!
